Sotogrande Charity Opera Gala 2016
A MAGICAL NIGHT OF OPERA UNDER THE STARS
This musical extravaganza will feature the fabulous voices of:
Stephanie Kemball-Read – Soprano
Aurore Lacabe – Mezzo-Soprano
Nicholas Ransley – Tenor
James Cleverton – Baritone
This will be a fully staged black tie gala event to be held at the Santa Maria Polo Club, the Los Pinos grounds, Sotogrande and promises to be an enchanting evening with a programme of an 18-piece chamber orchestra, a champagne reception & dinner with specially selected wines for the occasion and beautiful music under a starlit sky.

Dear Friends,
All of you will be aware that I feel a deeply personal connection to anyone suffering from Leukaemia. My darling Grandson Arturo lost his eight-year battle against this terrible disease, and died at the tender age of 17 in 2012. I am sure you all identify with the fact that Leukaemia knows no boundaries, can attack at any age, and is certainly not just ‘prevalent’ in children.
For this very special reason I would like to participate in staging regular events with the sole purpose of raising funds in Arturo’s memory, to help others afflicted with this life threatening cancer, and I would be honoured if you would join in supporting me. I have been fortunate enough to form a committee of dedicated friends, and together we have chosen to support The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Foundation which works tirelessly at raising funds for research into Leukaemia.
We have great pleasure in announcing that our first event, the Annual Sotogrande Summer Gala ” A Magical Night of Opera” will take place on Saturday 25th June 2016. This will be a fully staged black tie gala event to be held at the Los Pinos grounds of Santa Maria Polo Club, Sotogrande and promises to be an enchanting evening with a programme of carefully selected world renowned operatic pieces performed by a group of international opera singers and an 18-piece chamber orchestra. A champagne reception will start off the evening followed by dinner with specially selected wines for the occasion and beautiful music under a starlit sky.
